Seatback Failures

Front occupant seatbacks play a vital safety role in rear-end crashes, similar to the purpose of airbags and seatbelts in frontal impacts. Arizona Car Collision Insurance Claims Denial

Scottsdale Car Collision Insurance Bad Faith Attorneys can Help

Car collision insurance is designed to pay for repairs and replacement on the vehicle that the insured is driving at the time of a crash. It is one of the many Arizona automobile insurance types available and is not the same as liability insurance. Liability insurance is supposed to cover property and individuals other than the insured. While liability insurance is required by Arizona law, collision insurance is not. Having both types of insurance seems reasonable, but many Arizona drivers find themselves in unexpected trouble after an accident. They are surprised to find their claim denied, improperly evaluated, or unfairly delayed.

If you are struggling with your insurance company over your automobile insurance coverage, call Scottsdale Lawyer Shane L. Harward at 480-874-2918. He has the experience you need on your side to stand up to an insurance company.

Insurance Companies have many Tactics for Denying Arizona Drivers’ Collision Claims

Auto collision insurance may be required if you lease your vehicle by the owner of the loan.  Otherwise it is typically optional and does seem attractive if you can afford it. After an accident, your car insurance company will assess the damage and then determine how much repairs or replacement will cost. After you pay your deductible—likely around $500—they should write a check to you or pay the repair shop directly for the remaining cost up to the limits of your coverage amount.

In many instances, however, there is a gap between what the insurance company is willing to pay and what the repairs or replacement actually costs. In some cases, a vehicle may be a total loss but the insurance company will only offer so much for replacement. In such cases, many Arizona drivers find that they are forced to continue making payments on a car that is otherwise worthless. Many people are under the impression that the insurance company will help them make the best decision and get the best coverage. This is not always the case. Insurance companies are in business to make a profit and they sometimes unfairly accomplish it at the expense of the insurance consumer. You may find yourself as a victim of auto collision insurance bad faith if:

  • Your coverage was misrepresented at the time you purchased your policy
  • The policy you bought arguably does not cover the circumstances in which your car was damaged
  • An investigation and assessment of your vehicle is endlessly delayed
  • Your insurance company unfairly and improperly evaluates the claim
  • You do not get an answer to your request for payment in a timely manner

Your phone calls may not get returned. You may be passed on to insurance bureaucrat after insurance bureaucrat and never get any response to your concerns. Call Scottsdale Lawyer Shane L. Harward. You will get explanations of how best to proceed with your case and you will have an ally who will get the insurance company’s attention. Call 480-874-2918.
